Snorkelling Tours

Home to picturesque inland freshwater lakes, as well as a number of truly spectacular creeks that flow into the ocean, Fraser Island offers visitors the chance to explore the ocean and its freshwater creeks.

The western side of the island is the most popular for snorkeling as it is often secluded due to the isolated location on the island. The freshwater Wathumba Creek is a popular choice for snorkelers with a large variety of wildlife including dolphins, sea turtles, and various different species of tropical fish which are all calling the area home.

As the ocean can be a danger with strong rips a hazard to swimmers, the eastern side of the island is not recommended for snorkeling.
